Six goals and two disposals: how Santos played against Mamelodi Sundowns

Sports publication reported: South African clubs Mamelodi Sandowns and Santos met on the field on August 19 as part of the African Premier League. However, the club “Santos” did not manage to win back the gap of one goal.

In the first match, Mamelodi Sundowns beat Santos 1-0 at home. That is, the chances of this club going further remained quite working.

Already in the 6th minute, the hosts managed to take the lead thanks to a precise shot by midfielder Carsol Sanchez. At the end of the first half, in the 38th minute, the team restored equality in the score through the efforts of defender Simon Delhi.

At the end of the match, the lineups of both teams decreased — defender Gabriel Pirani (second yellow) and striker Percy Tau ( for a foul against the goalkeeper in someone else’s penalty area) were removed from the field.

In the 88th minute, almost all the questions in the match were removed by the midfielder of the guests Jobson-2:2.

In the 3rd added minute, defender Brandon Mechele scored an autogall, giving the hosts hope, they had a few minutes left.

But the visitors made a counterattack, and forward Lua Openda equalized the score.

In the playoff round, the team will face the winner of the pair – the Kaiser Chiefs team.
